Job Description
You will be an integral member of the AI Centre of Excellence at MIT ADT University, dedicated to supporting the Reporting Supervisor on research projects at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT). Your role will require a strong technical background in AI/ML and practical Python programming skills.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Research Execution:** Assist the supervisor in conducting rigorous theoretical and applied research in the AI/OSINT domain, contributing to literature reviews, experimental design, data analysis, and coding.
- **Model Development:** Develop and/or implement Machine Learning models and AI Agents for Open-Source Intelligence.
- **Data Handling:** Develop and maintain efficient scripts for data scraping, cleaning, preprocessing, and management of large, complex, and unstructured datasets commonly found in OSINT work.
- **Programming:** Write and maintain high-quality, well-documented code primarily using Python for algorithm development and system integration.
- **Documentation & Publication:** Prepare clear research reports, presentations, and draft manuscripts for submission to conferences and journals under the guidance of the supervisor.
- **Tool Evaluation:** Evaluate and integrate relevant open-source tools and platforms that enhance OSINT capabilities.
- *Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Pursuing/holding a Master's degree OR holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a closely related technical field.
- **Experience:** Demonstrated experience (research publication, relevant internship, or job experience) in AI/ML.
- *Required Skills:**
- **Programming Expertise:** Expert proficiency in Python, along with experience in using key libraries (e.g. Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib), is mandatory. Should be able to code without a Copilot if needed.
- **AI/ML Knowledge:** Solid theoretical understanding of Machine Learning as well as its building blocks: statistics, probability distributions, linear algebra, and calculus.
- **Version Control:** Thorough proficiency in using Git or similar version control systems.
- **Fluency in English:** both written and verbal.
- *Preferred Skills:**
- Familiarity with LLM libraries and tools (e.g. transformers, LlamaCPP, Unsloth).
- Experience with databases.
- Familiarity with Docker.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
