About Miko

Miko is a Mumbai based advanced consumer robotics innovation lab passionate about bringing the best of technology to young learners everywhere and home to some of the world’s leading engineers, mathematicians, teachers and psychologists. Our robots have been designed for the age group of 5-10 and the company’s flagship product, Miko 3, is the first robot that uses playful, conversational learning to educate, engage and entertain kids and is best-selling in the US, UK and UAE besides India.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that the design is consistent with the architecture and requirements.
• Ensure that the proposed design would have the safety, reliability and quality features built-in
• Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the performance, quality and cost criteria
• Conducts Concept & Feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
• Ensures that there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design
• Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
• Ensures that his design modules meet the product certification requirements
• Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress.
• Defines and assess the Work Breakdown Structure/ planning/ costs of his/her area.
• Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations

Requirements

• M.Tech /B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering
• Knowledge of structural design, CAD (Creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings), FEM analysis
• Good at hand calculation of the design
• Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risks
• Identifying the suitable material, creating EBOM, DFM/DFA
• Experience in the latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes
• Experience with standard development tools: Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, or equivalent
• Create functional requirement documentation
• Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards is preferred
• Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
• System thinking mindset and domain expertise in the related area
• Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player, leadership skills and drive for results
• Quality mindset in design and documentation
