About the position
MFM Limited Partnership is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for the position of Automotive Service Technician (AST)/Light Duty Mechanic to join our operation at our Town Fleet location. MFM Limited Partnership, a Mikisew Group company, provides comprehensive Client services in vehicle inspection and light duty repair services. This posting will remain open until suitable candidates have been found. We would like to thank all applicants for your interest in working with our team. Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, (Tuesday – Friday) 10 hours per day (30-minute unpaid lunch). Work is conducted under an Hours of Work Averaging Arrangement (HWAA) - formerly known as a Compressed Work Week. Duration: Permanent. Local residency in Fort McMurray. No Camp/Accommodations provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair work and routine maintenance on light duty vehicles and equipment,
- Check light duty equipment such as light duty trucks, vans, cars and support equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Adjust, repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
- Complete service reports
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician (AST)
- Light Duty Technician Certification
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver's abstract (Mandatory)
- Successfully complete Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Screening
- 5 years’ experience working in a light duty automotive facility servicing light vehicles and support equipment.
- Successful candidates are responsible for providing their own general tools. A tool allowance is provided as part of the compensation package.
Nice-to-haves
- Red Seal Certification preferred
- Ford diagnostic and repair experience is an asset.
