The Sales Project Manager is responsible for driving sales performance and operational excellence. The position leads the alignment and execution of standardized processes across the team, including prospecting, estimating, project management, order entry, order management, and post-sale support. The Sales PM ensures consistency, accountability, and efficiency throughout the entire sales lifecycle, including pre-sale, order fulfillment, and post-sale, while developing new business, supporting customer relationships, and ensuring adherence to company policies and performance standards.
Areas of responsibility:
- Serve as the primary intake point for all incoming leads; assign work to appropriate team members; and ensure timely follow-up and execution through KPI tracking and accountability.
- Review customer purchase orders for accuracy, pricing, credit status, and compliance with company policies and terms prior to acceptance.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market research within assigned territories.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of solutions and applications to address customer inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
- Build and maintain customer relationships while driving growth through consultative, technical value-based selling.
- Own and manage the bid lifecycle, including quote follow-up, contractor identification, conversion tracking, and sales team oversight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent technical experience considered.
- Sales leadership, construction sales, project management, or estimating experience preferred.
- Understanding of industrial thermal controls products.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
