Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site, 2/2 rotation role for a Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician based in Alberta, Canada. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy machinery, including dozers, excavators, rock trucks, and more, at customer locations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issues, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with the service team to ensure timely and effective repairs. A strong emphasis is placed on safety standards, customer service, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Qualifications
- Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, rock trucks, and other machinery
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, engines, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in the field
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and protocols
- Strong time-management, communication, and customer service skills
- Heavy Equipment Technician trade qualification (Red Seal considered an asset)
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and in various weather conditions
- Good physical fitness to handle the demands of the job
