Sr Cost Accountant

This Cost Accountant supports the financial and operational performance of a high‑volume manufacturing facility by owning product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. You will work closely with plant leadership and cross‑functional teams to deliver meaningful cost insights and strengthen operational decision‑making.

Missions

• Maintain and analyze standard costs (materials, labor, overhead).
• Prepare and analyze manufacturing variances including PPV, usage, labor, and overhead.
• Support month‑end close activities related to inventory, COGS, and manufacturing variances.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, CI, and HR to understand cost drivers and identify improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to annual standard cost roll‑ups and ongoing cost maintenance.
• Assist with capital project financial analyses.
• Prepare recurring operational and cost reporting for plant leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and AOP activities for manufacturing-related costs.
• Strengthen inventory controls, including cycle counts and physical inventory reviews.
• Analyze data using Excel and BI tools; communicate insights effectively.
• Provide cost projections for new products or package configurations to R&D and Sales.
• Review intercompany receivables to ensure accuracy across company codes/ERPs.
• Analyze and validate warehouse and transportation costs.

Profil du candidat

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation is a strong asset.
• +5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Hands-on expertise in standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Understanding of procurement, BOMs, routings, and manufacturing processes.
• SAP S/4HANA Cloud experience is required.
