Role Description The Renewable Energy R&D Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvalla. This role oversees end-to-end research and development activities focused on integrating renewable energy solutions and energy-efficient technologies into advanced manufacturing environments. The manager will design and execute R&D roadmaps, coordinate lab and pilot-scale experiments, evaluate new materials and processes, and collaborate with data scientists to embed AI-driven optimization into energy systems. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional project teams, defining technical requirements, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that R&D outcomes translate into scalable, production-ready solutions. The role also involves monitoring industry trends, engaging with external partners and suppliers, preparing technical documentation, and presenting findings to leadership and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Research and Development (R&D) and applied Research within renewable energy, energy storage, or energy-efficient manufacturing systems.
• Proven Team Management and Team Leadership abilities, including mentoring, goal setting, and performance management for multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and deliver complex R&D programs on time and within budget.
• Background in renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar, wind, energy storage, microgrids) and their integration into industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field; a PhD is an advantage.
• Experience working in or with manufacturing operations, with exposure to data-driven or AI-enabled optimization considered a plus.
• Ability to translate experimental results into practical design recommendations, technical reports, and executive-level presentations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across engineering, data science, and operations teams.
