Role Description The Behavioral Health Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division, supporting the mental well-being of members within MERN Matrix Club. This role involves providing individual support, facilitating group sessions or workshops on stress management and emotional resilience, and promoting healthy coping strategies for a high-performance tech environment. The specialist will conduct initial assessments, identify behavioral health needs, and coordinate appropriate referrals or follow-ups when necessary. Daily responsibilities include maintaining confidential records, collaborating with student leaders and faculty advisors, and contributing to wellness initiatives that foster an inclusive, supportive community. The Behavioral Health Specialist will also help design and deliver educational materials and programs tailored to the unique pressures of learners and professionals in technology-focused settings.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to assess needs and provide appropriate behavioral health interventions.
• Background in Social Work and Case Management to coordinate resources, referrals, and ongoing support services for individuals and groups.
• Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to explain mental health concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Relevant degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field; advanced training or certifications in counseling or mental health support are an advantage.
• Experience working with students or young professionals, preferably in academic, community, or tech-related environments, with demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and confidentiality.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage sensitive situations with discretion, and organize workshops or awareness programs on mental health topics.
