Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IPDRG Medical Coder with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in inpatient coding. The ideal candidate must hold a valid CPC or CCS certification and demonstrate strong knowledge of DRG assignment, medical terminology, and coding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze inpatient medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer regulations, and hospital policies
• Perform IPDRG coding with a high level of accuracy and productivity
• Identify documentation gaps and coordinate with clinical teams for clarification
• Maintain quality standards and meet turnaround time requirements
• Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in inpatient (IPDRG) medical coding
• Certification required: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG systems
• Good understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Familiarity with coding software and EMR systems
