Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Data Scientist to join our Education & Training Division team. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Education & Training Analytics and collaborate closely with the Data Engineer to support data-driven decision-making. This position is perfect for a recent graduate or someone with up to one year of experience who is eager to tackle real-world data problems and enhance their analytical skills.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
- Data Preparation & Exploration: Clean, preprocess, and explore structured and unstructured data sources while ensuring data integrity.
- Business Problem Translation: Partner with the analytics team to translate business needs and questions into data-driven problems and actionable solutions.
- Statistical Modeling & Machine Learning: Assist in developing, testing, and deploying machine learning models and performing statistical analyses to uncover insights.
- Data Visualization & Reporting: Create clear, insightful visualizations and reports using Power Bi or libraries like Matplotlib and Plotly to communicate findings effectively.
- Collaboration with Data Engineer: Work together with the Data Engineer to build well-structured data pipelines and utilize APIs for real-time data access.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain thorough documentation of data workflows, methodologies, and results, and present key insights to stakeholders in a clear manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's Degree Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or related field.
Preferred: Master's Degree in a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: None.
Preferred: Proficient in Python, SQL, and machine learning libraries, applying supervised and unsupervised models.
