Real Estate Investment & Development Analyst Intern - D.C.

Real Estate Investment & Development Analyst Intern Summer Internship | Washington, DCWe are seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Investment & Development Analyst Intern to support our team across acquisitions, asset management, and ground-up development initiatives. This role provides direct exposure to the full lifecycle of real estate investments within a vertically integrated platform.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport underwriting and financial analysis for acquisitions, developments, and value-add investments, including building and auditing Excel models (NOI, DSCR, IRR, equity waterfalls)

Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal investment committee and external partners

Participate in asset management activities across an existing portfolio, including performance tracking, rent roll analysis, and variance reporting against budget and business plans

Work closely with development teams on active projects from pre-development through construction, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with architects, contractors, and consultants

Conduct market research, comp analysis, and leasing and sales strategy support for multifamily and condominium assets

Assist with capital markets efforts, including debt and equity sourcing materials, lender and investor communication, and due diligence processes

Support ongoing reporting to investors and lenders, including quarterly updates and additional analyses as needed

QualificationsCurrently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency

Interest in real estate private equity, development, and asset management

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

What You Will GainSalary Range: Starts at $18.50, commensurate with degree level.

Internship runs from June 1st to August 7th

Hands-on experience across acquisitions, asset management, and development

Exposure to live deals, capital raises, and construction execution

Direct interaction with senior team members and involvement in investment decision-making
