Hiring Unit: Department of Biology (Professor Stephanie Weber) Position Summary: Constructs a new bacterial strain expressing degron-tagged NusA. Validates the strain by Western blot. Conducts experiments using fluorescence microscopy. Assists in the analysis and interpretation of data. Maintains lab work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Qualifications: Good time management skills. Attention to detail. Education/Experience: Experience working with bacteria is preferred. Must have completed a laboratory course in molecular biology or microbiology (BIOL301, MIMM212 or equivalent). Enrolled in a BSc program. Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec. Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (4) qualifier on a scale of 0-4.
