Job Description
The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for executing high quality design solutions across MCAP’s portfolio of brands, ensuring creative outputs support marketing objectives, brand standards, and business needs. This role is primarily hands on, contributing to digital and print deliverables while applying sound creative judgment and attention to detail.
The Senior Graphic Designer collaborates closely with Marketing, Communications, Digital, and Automations teams, providing experienced design support and problem solving in a regulated, multi brand environment. The role may provide informal guidance to peers and contribute input on workflows and standards, but does not have ongoing responsibility for setting direction or overseeing others’ work
Senior Design & Creative Leadership
- Lead the execution of marketing creative across digital and print channels including email, web, social, presentations, video, signage, and collateral
- Handle complex or high visibility design assignments with guidance from the Manager, Graphic Design
- Translate briefs and objectives into effective visual solutions that align with brand standards
- Apply strong creative judgment to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in assigned work
- Serve as an experienced design contributor on campaigns and initiatives
Brand Adherence & Quality Oversight
- Apply established brand standards across creative outputs
- Incorporate feedback from senior designers or managers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and readiness for production
- Ensure all creative meets accessibility (AODA), regulatory, and brand requirements
- Identify risks, inconsistencies, or quality gaps and address them proactively
Digital, Email & Motion Design
- Execute design for email and digital campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and Automations teams
- Apply working knowledge of HTML and CSS to support email and digital design execution
- Design and produce short form video, animation, and motion graphics for marketing use
- Follow established best practices for digital formats, optimization, and delivery
Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Communications, Sales, and Digital
- Provide ad hoc guidance or knowledge sharing to peers when requested
- Follow defined design workflows, templates, and standards
- Coordinate with external vendors or partners when required, ensuring quality and brand adherence
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the evolution of design systems, templates, and creative standards
- Stay current on design, digital, and motion trends and apply them thoughtfully within brand constraints
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and creative effectiveness
- Support broader marketing and communications initiatives requiring senior creative input
What You Bring To The Team
- Approximately 6–8 years of progressive graphic design experience in an in-house or agency environment
- Demonstrated experience leading complex design projects and campaigns
- Strong background in digital marketing, email, and multi-channel creative
- Experience working in regulated or brand-governed environments considered an asset
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
- Advanced experience designing for email marketing and digital platforms
- Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS as applied to email and digital design (supporting execution, quality, and troubleshooting—not full web development)
- Strong experience using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere for short-form, marketing-driven video, animation, and motion graphics
- Experience creating accessible, fillable AODA-compliant PDFs
- Strong working knowledge of Windows-based environments and Microsoft tools including PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Experience with email deployment platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud considered a strong asset
- Excellent creative judgement and attention to detail
- Ability to balance hands-on execution with oversight and guidance
- Strong understanding of brand systems, visual hierarchy, and cross-channel execution
- Ability to manage complex creative work and competing priorities
- Confident, clear communicator who can influence and collaborate across teams
- Strong mentoring and feedback skills

- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field
