Job Summary

Maxim Biomedical is looking for a part-time assembly technician at its Rockville location. Candidates will be responsible for production and assembly of diagnostic devices which may include small plastic parts assembly, lateral flow strip assembly, labeling of pouches, kit assembly, and similar tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assemble various medical devices and components in clean room environment.
• Perform a variety of assembly operations, while adhering to quality requirements and practices providing in executed SOPs.
• Perform repetitive motion tasks (substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers).
• Up to 80-100% of the day may be spent at a lab bench and/or in the clean room or dry room.
• May require periods of standing/sitting in a dry room, clean room, or lab environment.
• Work within Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.
• Set-up, stock, and clean work areas.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Excellent fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, capable of managing repetitive assembly.
• Good time management skills to adhere to production expectations and deadlines.
• Keen attention to detail and able to carefully follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Capable of working independently or within a team, while adhering to production timelines.
• Able to communicate issues and problems to supervisors.
• Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation including ability to walk, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs unassisted.

Shift Availability:

• 4 Hour Shift (9 am – 1pm or 10 am – 2 pm)
• 3-5 Days Per Week (12-20 Hours)

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
