We are hiring a part-time receptionist to work two days per week on Fridays (9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) and Saturdays (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at our busy, high-end salon.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and personable, knowledgeable about hair services, and comfortable using an iMac computer, answering a multi-line telephone, and booking appointments. Candidates must be friendly, reliable, and professional, with excellent phone and written communication skills. If you have exceptional customer service skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to multitask and handle multiple phone lines, we may be the right fit for you!

Roles + Responsibilities

• Booking, confirming and changing appointments
• Writing emails promptly and professionally
• Answering phone calls and voicemails
• Effectively managing stylists' schedules and bookings to ensure a streamlined flow of clients
• Managing salon assistants and ensuring all their duties and cleaning chores are completed to a high standard
• Assist clients with questions about our styling and colour services, current hair trends, and products we sell at our salon
• Keeping the front desk free of clutter and keeping an eye on salon cleanliness
• Conducting daily cash up and stock take of products and colours
• Coordinating our guests and ensuring an excellent experience by offering drinks, chocolates, and friendly conversation
• Responding to social media messages and text messages

Experience

• Must have at least one year of experience working as a receptionist or manager at a busy, high-end hair salon
• Experience with Phorest Salon Software is considered an asset

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
