Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and motivated Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about health and fitness, committed to helping clients reach their fitness goals, and capable of designing safe and effective personalized training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions tailored to individual client goals and fitness levels.
- Perform fitness assessments and consultations for new clients.
- Design customized exercise programs focusing on weight loss, strength training, endurance, flexibility, or rehabilitation.
- Instruct clients on proper and safe exercise techniques.
- Motivate and support clients to achieve their fitness goals.
- Monitor progress, make adjustments to programs as needed, and provide ongoing education and encouragement.
- Ensure all equipment is used properly and maintained in good condition.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and client progress.
- Follow health and safety regulations and gym protocols.
- Participate in promotional activities and contribute to member retention strategies.
- Stay up to date with fitness industry trends and certifications.
Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized body (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, or equivalent).
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Proven experience as a personal trainer or fitness instructor.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, nutrition, and exercise physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping others improve their lives.
Preferred Skills:
- Group fitness instruction experience (e.g., HIIT, yoga, Pilates, boot camps).
- Knowledge of digital fitness tools or fitness tracking apps.
- Sales or client onboarding experience.
