Job Title: Night Shift Pharmacist

Department: Pharmacy

Location: Panvel

Shift Timing: Night Shift (e.g., 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM / as per hospital policy)

Reporting To: Pharmacy In-charge / Medical Superintendent

Job Summary The Night Shift Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining inventory, handling emergency requirements, and supporting clinical teams during night hours while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Medication Dispensing

• Accurately dispense prescribed medications as per doctor’s prescription
• Verify dosage, interactions, and contraindications before dispensing
• Ensure proper labeling and patient instructions

2. Night Operations Management

• Independently manage pharmacy operations during night shift
• Handle emergency medication requirements promptly
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and emergency department staff

3. Inventory Management

• Maintain adequate stock of essential and emergency medicines
• Monitor expiry dates and remove near-expiry/expired drugs
• Update stock registers and maintain proper documentation

4. Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain records as per drug control regulations
• Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, controlled drugs, etc.)
• Handle Schedule H, H1, X drugs as per legal guidelines

5. Patient Support & Counseling

• Provide basic medication guidance to patients/attendants
• Address queries related to dosage and usage

6. Emergency Handling

• Ensure availability of crash cart medicines
• Support ICU/ER in urgent medication requirements
• Maintain calm and accuracy under pressure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) / Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
• Valid Pharmacist License/Registration
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience (hospital experience preferred)

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently during night hours
• Knowledge of drug interactions and emergency medications
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Basic computer knowledge (billing/software handling)

Pay: From ₹12,000.00 per month
