Associate Media Manager

The Associate Media Manager role is centralized role will be responsible for building superior performance media capabilities for multiple brands in the Mars Petcare portfolio. As the Associate Media Manager, you will lead national media strategy and execution across a variety of programmatic media partners (including Google, Yahoo, Amazon Advertising, WMC, etc.), Search (Google, Bing) and social media partners (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.), all with a focus on driving to conversion. The role will be responsible for defining and rolling out scalable solutions, best practices, and frequent learnings to advance Mars Petcare media efforts across key brand initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or experience in a relevant field required

  • 2+ years’ experience in biddable media (strategy, partners, tactics, etc.) with solid Industry relationships

  • Proven Performance Marketing Track Record with demonstrated results

  • Proficiency in paid media planning, and buying with an emphasis on biddable channels: programmatic, search and social media

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with both short- and long-term components

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships and to collaborate effectively cross-functionally

  • Experience partnering directly with brand marketers, agencies, and vendor partners to advance biddable social & programmatic media initiatives

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Collaboration in crafting holistic media strategy and its execution (in collaboration with agencies) including recommended tactics for each individual brand, based on business goals and communication objectives 

  • Provide regular media consultation to the brand teams and other cross-functional internal and external partners on all matters related to media 

  • Seek to increase efficacy of media via ongoing analysis and optimization of programs, streamlining processes, benchmarking, and developing and leading structured test & learns, as well as conducting education and training for brand teams and other key stakeholders. 

  • Collaborate with CMI, agency partners, media vendors and measurement partners to identify, develop, and implement test & learns for media, and then package/present the results (including via Learning Agenda progress recaps, in-campaign reporting and frequent share outs with brand teams, global partners and cross-functional partners 

  • Prioritize optimizations to drive greater effectiveness and efficiency and eliminate overlap, redundancies, and inefficient investment 

  • Lead development and implementation of educational sessions, playbooks, and position papers to build marketing department capabilities and ensure proven solutions are scaled to deliver best-in-class performance 

  • Craft strategies and tests to gather learnings against emerging performance marketing trends, and push innovation agenda with our strategic media partners
