As a Lead Hand, you will play a key role in overseeing daily farm activities, ensuring animal care standards are met, and supporting team performance. This position provides operational leadership throughout the work week and assumes additional responsibilities during the absence of the Farm Supervisor(s).\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCollect, clean, and sort eggs according to quality standards\r\n\tPerform routine cleaning and sanitation across breeder farm\r\n\tCompletion of required paperwork\r\n\tMonitor and manage bird feeding schedules, ensuring proper nutrition and feed inventory control\r\n\tMaintain detailed logs of quality checks and production outputs\r\n\tChecking barns and eggs\r\n\tWeekend on call managing farm operations and staff\r\n\tProviding day-to-day direction of employees\r\n\tAssist in the development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity protocols\r\n\tEnsure compliance with animal health and welfare protocols\r\n\tEnsure proper care and operational readiness of infrastructure, tools, and resources\r\n\tSAP Data Entry\r\n\tTraining as required\r\n\tOther duties as assigned\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat’s in it for you?\r\n\r\n\r\n\t$23.33 - $24.33 per hour (based on progression)\r\n\tAll PPE is provided to employees (Boot Reimbursement of $125 after 3 months of service)\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDemonstrated commitment to safe work practices\r\n\tMust understand and follow all Animal Welfare/CHEQ/Biosecurity procedures\r\n\tProven ability in current position (attendance included)\r\n\tEgg gathering experience an asset\r\n\tMechanical ability an asset\r\n\tWilling and able to work statutory holidays and 2 of 4 weekends\r\n\tAble to work independently\r\n\tSupervisory experience an asset\r\n\tPoultry background an asset\r\n\tValid G driver’s license\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n
