Job Description
As a Junior Analytics Consultant specializing in Power BI, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop with guidance from senior team members.
- Connecting Power BI to various data sources like SQL Server, Excel, or CSV files.
- Writing basic DAX measures and calculated columns under the supervision of senior developers.
- Transforming and shaping data using Power Query (M language) within Power BI Desktop.
- Supporting the publishing and management of reports on Power BI Service and basic workspace management.
- Helping in collecting reporting requirements from business users and translating them into visual representations.
- Assisting in performing data quality checks and identifying issues in datasets used for reporting.
- Learning and applying BI best practices and reporting standards with guidance from senior mentors.
The qualifications required for this role are:
- B.Tech / B.Sc in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- BI or analytics certification is considered an added advantage.
In addition to the above, it is good to have:
- Exposure to Azure Data services like Databricks, Azure SQL, ADF.
- Awareness of Power BI Embedded or API integration concepts.
- Basic familiarity with Python or PySpark for data wrangling.
- Interest in retail or customer loyalty analytics.
