Job Description
Our client, a leading organization in the life sciences industry, is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join their team. As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be part of the Regulatory Operations & Compliance team supporting global movement of laboratory materials. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Location: Richmond, VA (Remote)
Pay Range: $34.37/hr
Shift:Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM
What's the Job?
- Lead regulatory operations and compliance for international shipment of preclinical and early-stage laboratory materials.
- Assess and advise on permits, documentation, and PGA regulations such as FDA, Fish & Wildlife, and TSCA.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure compliant import/export activities and address shipment challenges in real-time.
- Develop regulatory frameworks, SOPs, and playbooks to standardize processes across teams.
- Collaborate with scientific, trade compliance, and internal stakeholders to translate complex regulatory requirements into operational guidance.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, regulatory operations, or trade compliance.
- Experience supporting international movement of scientific, chemical, or biological materials.
- Working knowledge of PGA requirements, including FDA, Fish & Wildlife Service, TSCA, and related agencies.
- Proven ability to develop SOPs, regulatory frameworks, and manage cross-border compliance.
