The Province of Manitoba is seeking qualified candidates to fill clerical positions throughout the various government departments. This competition will be used to fill positions at the Clerk 3 level of varying employment opportunities. Some Clerk positions are designated as bilingual. For these positions, the successful candidate must be able to read, write and verbally communicate fluently in both official languages (English and French).

Duties
Clerk 3 Administrative Stream duties may include:
- Interacting with the general public, answering questions via, email, over the telephone and in-person
- Assessing, processing and completing applications and other types of forms;
- Preparing statistical data or performing specialized tasks which requires independent research and compilation;
- Preparing, checking and completing payroll entries, including time-keeping;
- Data entry;
- Maintaining physical and electronic records.
Note: Duties are subject to vary based on position and can include other clerical support as required.

Qualifications
Essential
- Post-secondary education in a clerical/business related field and/or experience performing various clerical tasks in an office type of environment such as data entry, preparing documents, managing detailed records or correspondence, and maintaining physical and electronic filing systems while maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience interpreting and applying policies and procedures (may include legislation and regulations).
- Effective verbal communication skills demonstrated in a clear and professional manner.
- Effective written communication skills with experience drafting and editing correspondence.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Experience delivering front-line customer service while building and maintaining effective working relationships with external stakeholders and internal staff.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook or similar software applications.
Desired:
- Experience working with SAP or an equivalent software.
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate fluently in French.
