Job Description
The Sales Account Specialist will collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure exceptional customer service, assist in managing key account relationships, prepare sales materials and inventory reports, and support business analysis.
Responsibilities
Sales:
- Manage the Specialty account category
- Support independent account representatives/groups to manage their markets in the specialty retail sector
- Manage selected accounts/buying group relationships directly
- Act as the MarketTime system administrator; maintain system updates and communicate changes to independent sales rep groups and buying groups.
- Develop a strong understanding of the product portfolio to create seasonal training materials and impactful sales presentations for partners as well as deliver quarterly newsletter updates to accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal partners.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
- Maintain superior product knowledge on full portfolio
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to provide valuable insights to clients.
- Represent the company at trade shows and deliver client presentations as required.
- Manage updates to showroom displays and coordinate the delivery of samples and seasonal changes.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Monitor inventory levels to generate accurate product availability reports to sales team.
- Compile, monitor and analyze sales and account data, identifying trends and opportunities for account growth.
- Complete ad hoc reporting requests for sales and marketing team.
Sales Admin Support:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of client requests – images, quote sheets, specs, testing & compliance.
- Facilitate Marketing Graphics requests on behalf of the sales team (catalogs, showrooms, templates etc.)
- Complete online submissions for various retailer platforms
- Maintain content update calendar for e-commerce partners including taxonomy, copy, asset updates and new season releases
- Coordinate with Marketing team on graphics requests for retail customers and showrooms
- Assist Account Managers in quote sheet preparation, image assets and curated portfolio support
- Coordinate customer sample requests as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to build and nurture customer relationships
- Well-developed communication, persuasiveness, influencing and presentation skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong time management, prioritization, planning, and organization skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to generate basic sales and inventory reports
- Comfortable presenting to internal teams or partners
- Results-oriented individual, with a sense of urgency
