Job Title: Construction & Development Finance Manager (Remote | U.S. Projects)

Location: Remote (India-based candidates preferred)

Working Hours: EST (7:00 PM – 3:00 AM IST) – Mandatory

Employment Type: Full-Time

Start Date: Immediate to short notice preferred

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Construction & Development Finance Manager to take full ownership of financial operations across active real estate development and construction projects.

This is not a traditional accounting role—it sits at the intersection of finance, construction operations, and systems. You will be responsible for bringing structure, visibility, and accountability to project financials while working closely with leadership and managing offshore teams.

Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) are essential, as this role involves regular interaction with U.S.-based stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own project-level financials, including budget vs actuals, cost tracking, and variance analysis
  • Manage WIP schedules and revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion)
  • Lead the construction loan draw process end-to-end
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and invoice control with strict timelines and accuracy
  • Drive system integration and data flow between tools (e.g., Procore ↔ Zoho or similar)
  • Track development financials, including costs, capital stack, and project returns
  • Deliver weekly and monthly financial reports with clear, actionable insights
  • Manage offshore teams and drive accountability, timelines, and output quality
  • Build and implement processes, controls, and scalable workflows

Key Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in construction accounting or real estate finance
  • Strong hands-on expertise in job costing, WIP reporting, and construction loan draws
  • Experience with Procore (or similar project management tools) and accounting systems (Zoho, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced, unstructured environments
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote/offshore teams
  • Excellent English communication skills (mandatory for U.S. stakeholder interaction)
  • High ownership mindset with a focus on execution and problem-solving

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with U.S.-based real estate or construction companies
  • Knowledge of ASC 606 / percentage-of-completion accounting
  • Exposure to capital stacks, IRR, and project-level returns
  • Experience with Power BI or advanced Excel modeling

  • Structured and reliable project cost tracking system in place
  • Accurate and consistent WIP reporting established
  • AP backlog cleared and workflows streamlined
  • Seamless system integration (Procore–Zoho or equivalent)
  • Consistent and insightful reporting cadence with leadership
