ABOUT US
Madcraft is a global digital agency driving transformation and growth through web design, development, brand strategy, and performance marketing. We work with a wide range of clients, with a growing footprint in B2B industries including heavy machinery, construction, SaaS, and professional services. We have offices in Austin, Philadelphia, and London, with our EMEA headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. Our transatlantic team combines strategy, creativity, and execution to help brands grow in meaningful, measurable ways.
We partner with ambitious organizations that are evolving, expanding, repositioning, or modernizing their brands. Our work often sits at the intersection of business strategy, brand transformation, digital experience, and go-to-market execution.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
We’re looking for a Brand Strategy Consultant to help lead the strategic direction of Madcraft’s brand transformation projects.
This is a highly consultative, client-facing role for someone who can understand complex business contexts, build trusted client relationships, and guide senior stakeholders through important brand decisions, from brand architecture and positioning to go-to-market direction. Working closely with project managers, creative teams, and digital strategists, you will help clients determine whether brands should be unified, endorsed, or standalone, and ensure every recommendation is grounded in their commercial goals and business reality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategic consulting layer of brand transformation, brand architecture, and go-to-market projects.
- Work directly with senior client stakeholders to understand their business model, commercial goals, market position, customer segments, competitive landscape, and internal brand challenges.
- Run discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and strategic working sessions with clients.
- Assess brand portfolios and advise on appropriate brand architecture models, including branded house, house of brands, endorsed brands, hybrid models, sub-brands, and standalone entities.
- Develop clear strategic recommendations around brand consolidation, repositioning, naming structures, hierarchy, messaging, and go-to-market implications.
- Partner with project managers to ensure brand projects are delivered smoothly, strategically, and in line with client expectations.
- Act as a senior strategic voice in client meetings, helping to build trust, guide decision-making, and bring clarity to complex conversations.
- Translate business and market insights into practical brand strategy outputs, including positioning frameworks, brand architecture recommendations, messaging platforms, workshop outputs, strategic decks, and advisory reports.
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketers, developers, and digital strategists to ensure the brand strategy is carried through into execution.
- Help clients understand the commercial and operational implications of brand decisions, not just the creative implications.
- Support new business and pitch processes where brand strategy, brand transformation, or go-to-market advisory is required.
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through additional advisory, brand, digital, or marketing work.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand consulting, management consulting, corporate strategy, marketing strategy, or a similar advisory role.
- Experience working on brand transformation, repositioning, brand architecture, merger/acquisition branding, portfolio strategy, or go-to-market projects.
- Strong understanding of brand architecture models and how they apply to real business challenges.
- Ability to quickly understand a client’s business, industry, customers, competitors, and commercial priorities.
- Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and guide strategic conversations confidently.
- Strong workshop facilitation skills, including the ability to manage differing viewpoints and bring stakeholders toward clear decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex thinking into simple, compelling strategic narratives.
- Strong presentation and deck-building skills, especially for executive-level audiences.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to connect brand decisions to growth, customer experience, sales, marketing, and operational outcomes.
- A structured, analytical mindset with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous or complex problems.
- Comfortable working alongside project managers, creative teams, and delivery teams without needing to own every operational detail.
- Experience in an agency, consultancy, brand studio, digital transformation firm, or professional services environment.
BONUS POINTS FOR
- Experience working with B2B, industrial, construction, heavy machinery, SaaS, manufacturing, or professional services clients.
- Experience supporting businesses through mergers, acquisitions, rebrands, market expansion, or organizational transformation.
- Understanding of digital experience, website strategy, customer journeys, and performance marketing.
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies, messaging frameworks, value propositions, or commercial positioning.
- Experience working with international or multi-market brands.
- Familiarity with tools such as Miro, Figma, Google Workspace, Slack, Teamwork, HubSpot, or similar collaboration platforms.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- The ideal candidate is part strategist, part consultant, and part relationship-builder.
- You are comfortable sitting in a room with business owners, marketing leaders, and senior executives, helping them work through complex brand decisions. You know how to listen deeply, ask sharp questions, and bring structure to uncertainty.
- You are not just interested in how a brand looks. You are interested in why it exists, how it creates value, how it is understood in the market, and how it supports the business’s future growth.
- You can move between high-level strategy and practical execution. You are equally comfortable discussing brand architecture with a leadership team, briefing a design team, shaping a messaging framework, or helping a project manager keep a client aligned around the agreed direction.
- You bring the polish and structure of a consultant, but you also understand the pace, flexibility, and creativity of an agency environment.
THE PERKS OF WORKING WITH US
- Remote-first role with flexible working hours.
- Health insurance coverage and benefits package.
- Full Apple work-from-home kit.
- Annual team offsite.
- Work with international clients across fast-growing industries.
- Opportunity to shape strategic brand transformation projects from the ground up.
- Collaborative, close-knit culture focused on quality, clarity, and growth.
- Professional development within a multi-disciplinary team spanning brand, digital, web, and performance marketing.
