As a Financial Analyst at LRN, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis team while acting as a key financial partner to the Operations and Technology teams. The FP&A team focuses on reporting, strategic planning, and business analytics to enhance operational efficiency and execution across all business units within LRN.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Operations & Technology Partnership**
- Act as a financial liaison to the Operations and Technology teams, translating financial activity to drive improved business outcomes.
- Assist operational leaders in understanding workflows, productivity metrics, and provide visibility into monthly expenditures.
- Provide ongoing KPIs and analytics related to staff utilization, efficiency, and timing of expenses.
- Support ad hoc analysis for operational initiatives, process improvements, and technology investments.
- **Financial Reporting**
- Support the FP&A Manager with month-end close activities, including conducting variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Assist in preparing monthly management reporting packages and executive summaries.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- **Data & Analytics**
- Assist in building and maintaining KPI dashboards and recurring reports for operations and finance stakeholders.
- Analyze trends in staffing, performance, and operational costs to identify risks and opportunities.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial and operational reporting.
- Continuously improve reporting processes through automation and enhanced data visualization.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
- 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or consulting with a strong accounting background.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling basics.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and variance analysis.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
