What We Are Seeking
We are seeking a full-time Commercial Lines Account Manager who has great customer service skills, a positive attitude, thinks outside the box, and strives to become a trusted source for our clients. Customer Service is very important to our agency as we have built a strong reputation in our area. For this newly created role, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have Commercial Lines insurance experience, understand companies’ portal systems and have management system skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a $500,000-$750,000 book of business by reviewing client policies, tracking renewal cycles, and identifying coverage needs to provide proactive service.
- Review renewals, evaluate coverage adequacy, and recommend policy adjustments to ensure optimal protection.
- Quote new business by gathering client information, obtaining carrier quotes, and presenting competitive coverage options.
- Support clients with claims reporting, follow-ups and carrier communication.
- Process endorsements by handling policy changes, submitting requests, and confirming updates with clients.
- Build strong client relationships by delivering exceptional, responsive service via phone and email.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma (or Equivalent)
- License: Property & Casualty (MD)
- Minimum of 2 years of Account Manager experience in Commercial Lines with an independent insurance agency
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree; Some College; No Degree
- Management System: AMS360 – willing to train
- Computer Skills: Adobe, DocuSign, MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Word, Zoom, MS Excel
