Dental Billing Specialist – Elite Revenue Cycle Role | Lorton, VA
We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Billing Specialist who takes ownership of the revenue cycle, thrives on accuracy, and enjoys the challenge of getting claims paid the right way the first time.
This is not a “data entry” role—this is a key financial position for someone who understands how to protect and grow practice revenue.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Full management of dental insurance aging and claims follow-up
- Dentrix account auditing and financial reconciliation
- Writing detailed narratives to support claim approvals
- Resolving denials and maximizing insurance reimbursement
- Managing patient balances with professionalism and confidence
- Maintaining clean, accurate, audit-ready accounts
- Adhere to established practice billing protocols and ensure consistent compliance with all financial procedures and guidelines
Who Thrives in This Role

- Has 5+ years of dental billing experience (required)
- Is highly proficient in Dentrix
- Understands PPO insurance at a deep operational level
- Is confident discussing financial responsibility with patients
- Is detail-driven, disciplined, and self-accountable
- Operates with urgency, ownership, and consistency
- Maintains a positive, collaborative attitude with a flexible approach to supporting team needs and workflow demands
