Standard Job Description
Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Duties based on role, team, and experience may include:
- Coordinate with various functions on the team to provide solutions to both tactical and strategic program risks and issues.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and problem-solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Analyze, prepare, and ensure execution of responsibilities with minimal guidance and oversight.
- Planning and Production Operations execution through all phases of the programs including responsibility for driving cost and schedule performance improvements.

Basic Qualifications
- Understands the importance of plans & schedules; has the ability to utilize tools to manage all projects/programs; able to formulate and execute recovery plans as required.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and formal presentation skills, including the ability to interface at all levels and with multiple departments.
- Experience in planning technical efforts, include schedules, metrics and budgets; solid understanding of earned value management.
- Experience working on projects that include development, implementation, integration and testing.
- Proposal management experience.
- Working knowledge of Earned Value and associated management systems.
- Experience with critical item handling such as:
-Coordinating proposals
-Business plans
-Specifications
-Operating budgets
-Financial terms
- Conditions of contract
Desired skills
- Active security clearance is beneficial, but some positions might not require.
- Proficient in MS applications (Visio, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Word, Project) and experience preparing and delivering presentations.
- Ability to make strategic decisions while delivering results.
- Training or certifications in Project Management (PMP, Six Sigma, Or Agile/SCRUM).

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $107,300 - $185,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
