Job Description
As a Junior Backend Developer at Loch Corporate Services Private Limited, your role involves designing, building, and maintaining backend services and APIs for web applications and internal tools used by Loch and its clients. You will work closely with front-end developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure robust server-side solutions that are secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs for web applications.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms like JWT, OAuth, and role-based access control.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas, queries, and migrations using systems such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Implement business logic and workflow automation based on documented requirements.
- Monitor and enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate third-party APIs, SaaS tools, and external services as needed.
- Write clean, modular, testable, and well-documented code following agreed standards.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues in production and non-production environments.
- Support deployment workflows including CI/CD, environment configuration, and release activities.
Key Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of backend development experience.
- Strong experience in at least one of Node.js (Express or NestJS), Python (Django or FastAPI), Java (Spring Boot), or .NET Core.
- Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with authentication and role-based access control.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and common web security risks.
- Experience with Git and standard version control workflows.
