ER Staff Nurse

Job Summary

The ER Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering prompt, efficient, and high-quality nursing care to patients in emergency situations, with a focus on gynecological and pediatric cases. The role requires quick assessment, timely intervention, and coordination with the medical team to ensure patient safety and stabilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform triage assessment for gynecological and pediatric emergency cases
• Provide immediate care for obstetric emergencies (bleeding, labor complications, ectopic pregnancy, etc.)
• Manage pediatric emergencies including fever, seizures, respiratory distress, dehydration, and trauma
• Assist doctors in emergency procedures such as resuscitation, intubation, and minor surgical interventions
• Monitor and record vital signs, fetal heart rate (if applicable), and patient condition
• Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and emergency drugs as prescribed
• Prepare and maintain emergency equipment and crash carts
• Ensure proper infection control and patient safety protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation, case sheets, and reports
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and family members
• Coordinate with OT, ICU, NICU/PICU, and wards for admissions or transfers
• Participate in code blue and emergency drills

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of gynecology and pediatric emergency care
• Ability to handle critical and high-risk cases efficiently
• Quick decision-making and multitasking skills
• Good communication and patient-handling skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Pay: From ₹22,000.43 per month
