General Labourer (Seasonal & Full Time)

Hiring seasonal and year round employees

Generally Monday - Friday, with occasional weekends.

Majority of work is in Headingley and Charleswood

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Laborer to support various outdoor jobs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physically fit, and a willingness to learn new skills. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience to the upkeep and development of outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

Spring / Summer / Fall

• Perform gardening tasks including planting & maintenaining gardens, pruning hedges and small trees, spread soil and mulchs.
• Perform general lawn care including mowing & trimming (including spring & fall yard clean-up)
• General site cleanup, material loading/unloading, and debris removal

Winter

• Preform snow clearing includes driveways, sidewalk, parking lots
• Follow safety protocols during all operations to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Knowledge of gardening & horticulture maintenance is an asset
• Able to lift 50 lbs regularily
• Able to operate hand tools tools and equipment is a plus- walk behind mower, timmers, backpack blowers, pruners, mini chain saw
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor settings for extended periods and various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic with attention to safety standards and detail-oriented approach
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team
