Job Description - ERP Administrator

Location: Toronto, ON (On-site)

Reports To: IT Manager

Position Summary:

Olympia Tile is seeking an experienced ERP Administrator to oversee a multi-year cloud migration of ERP and related infrastructure (web portals, e-commerce, POS, analytics, CRM, printing). This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of all systems that underpin business operations across multiple branches. The ERP Administrator will work closely with the IT team and external vendors to manage system updates, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement improvements that support both local and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Migration & Strategy

Lead the planning, execution, and post-migration optimization of the multi-year ERP cloud migration.

Evaluate and recommend cloud-based solutions (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) for ERP and related infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business strategy.

Ensure the security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of the cloud-based ERP environment.

Collaborate with vendors and the IT team to design and implement a scalable, highly available cloud architecture for all related systems (web portals, e-commerce, POS, AP automation, analytics, CRM, EDI, printing).

Operations & Continuous Improvement

Maintain and validate the functional configuration of core ERP modules (e.g., inventory management, pricing structures, financial ledgers) to ensure accurate business process execution and reporting.

Document and maintain ERP Administration SOPs, enrich the Knowledge Base with ERP enhancements and customizations.

Support IT governance, security, and compliance initiatives.

Infrastructure Administration

Lead ERP environment upgrades, enhancements, and rollout planning, ensuring minimal disruption.

Own application performance monitoring and optimization across the ERP environment.

Support configuration and maintenance of core business systems that integrate with the ERP, such as Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, and SSRS.

Support & Collaboration

● Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated infrastructure and application issues.

● Work with ERP and business teams to ensure system dependencies and integrations function effectively.

● Manage major IT projects in close collaboration with the Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Required:

4–7+ years of hands-on experience in ERP administration.

Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to a large-scale cloud migration of ERP and related infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server,IIS, & SSRS.

Experience with SQL tasks, including managing stored procedures, performing backups and restores, and configuring SQL Agent jobs.

Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred

Strong Project Management Skills

Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (MCSA, Server+, Security+, or Windows Server Hyper-V ).

Experience with wholesale/distribution ERP (Epicor Prophet 21 environment an asset).

Prior experience with a C-based programming language is an asset.
