This role will be responsible for end-to-end leadership and delivery of large, complex Minerals & Metals projects (Greenfield, Brownfield, Expansion, EPC/EPCM/Turnkey) ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual commitments, while driving profitability, client satisfaction, and organizational capability building.\n\nThis role serves as the single-point accountability (SPOC) for assigned projects and represents the organization at the highest level with clients, JV partners, consultants, and statutory authorities.\n\n1. Project Leadership & Governance\nProvide overall direction, governance, and leadership for one or more mega/strategic projects in the Minerals & Metals domain (Iron Ore, Steel, Aluminium, Copper, Zinc, Beneficiation, Pellet Plants, Smelters, Material Handling Systems, etc.).\nEstablish strong project governance structures, decision-making frameworks, and escalation protocols.\nEnsure alignment with organizational strategy, IC objectives, and profitability targets.\n\n2. Contract, Commercial & Financial Management\nFull accountability for project P&L, cash flow, billing, and margin improvement.\nOversee contract administration, including scope management, claims, variations, EOT, negotiations, and dispute resolution.\nEnsure timely certification, invoicing, collections, and effective working capital management.\nDrive cost control, value engineering, and risk mitigation to protect and enhance margins.\n\n3.
Planning, Execution & Delivery\nApprove and monitor master schedules, milestone tracking, and critical path activities.\nEnsure seamless integration across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.\nDrive productivity improvements, constructability reviews, and adoption of best practices.\nEnsure timely and safe project completion as per contractual commitments.\n\n4. Client & Stakeholder Management\nAct as the primary interface with clients, senior management, and key stakeholders.\nBuild long-term client relationships through transparent communication, issue resolution, and proactive engagement.\nRepresent the organization in high-level reviews, steering committees, audits, and negotiations.\nCoordinate with consultants, licensors, JV partners, and statutory bodies.\n\n5. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)\nChampion a zero-harm safety culture across all project sites.\nEnsure full compliance with HSE regulations, company standards, and client requirements.\nDrive quality assurance and quality control to deliver defect-free systems and plants.\nEnsure sustainability, environmental compliance, and responsible execution practices.\n\n6.
Risk Management & Compliance\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate technical, commercial, schedule, and statutory risks.\nEnsure compliance with contractual, legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.\nLead crisis management and recovery plans for critical project challenges.\n\n7. People Leadership & Capability Building\nLead large, multi-disciplinary, and multi-location project teams.\nBuild strong succession pipelines and develop next-level project leaders.\nFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, diversity, and performance excellence.\nEnsure workforce planning, talent deployment, and productivity optimization.\n\n8. Strategic Contribution & Business Growth\nProvide inputs for bid strategies, project reviews, and techno-commercial risk assessments.\nSupport pre-bid activities, constructability reviews, and execution planning for new projects.\nCapture lessons learned and institutionalize best practices across the Minerals & Metals IC.\nAct as a brand ambassador of the organization in industry forums and client ecosystems.
