About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing SaaS sales team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers — creating interest, qualifying leads, and setting up high-quality meetings for our Account Executives.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, contact, and qualify inbound and outbound leads
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects’ needs, pain points, and fit for Lightcast solutions
- Introduce prospects to the Media Cloud ecosystem and its value proposition
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Schedule product demos and sales meetings for Account Executives
- Manage outreach sequences through email, calls, social channels, and video messaging
- Hit and exceed weekly and monthly KPIs, including activity, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and activity tracking in HubSpot CRM
- Attend networking events and trade shows to build relationships and generate leads.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and customer success to improve lead quality and conversion
- Stay informed about Lightcast’s expanding features, AI tools, product releases, and competitive landscape
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree and 2-3 years of sales, BDR/SDR, or customer-facing experience (SaaS experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a fast-paced pipeline
- High level of resilience and ability to handle objections
- Self-motivated mindset with a passion for achieving goals
- Comfort using CRM platforms, sales engagement tools, and lead sourcing tools
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in B2B SaaS or tech sales
- Background in streaming, digital media, or MarTech industries
- Experience conducting outbound prospecting (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach)
