  • Basic Position Details
  • Position Title: Chief Legal Officer
  • Department/Vertical: Recovery
  • Location: Corporate Office, Mumbai
  • Mandatory Criteria
  • Age Limit as on: 35 to 45 years
  • Education Qualification: Person with strong legal background with Bachelors/ Masters in Law from a reputed recognized institution.
  • Minimum Experience Required: 10 years with 5-7 years experience in senior leadership position in a large size Bank/NBFCs.
  • Relevant Industry/Domain Experience: Thorough knowledge in dealing with SARFAESI, handling Civil and Criminal cases, Cases in DRT, DRAT, NCLT, High Courts, Supreme Court. Knowledge of handling CIRP process and related procedures. Proficiency in ARC related matters.
  • Preferred Skills: Strong problem-solving skills capable of handling all situations. Good communication skills and liaison abilities.
  • Certifications (if any): Related to Domain knowledge
  • Languages Required: Hindi, English, any one vernacular language

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and guidance for all SARFAESI related activities.
  • Monitoring and advice in all the ongoing litigations in various courts of law.
  • Monitoring and active participation in the CIRP processes underway.
  • Giving solutions/ advice to office on the various legal issues cropping up from time to time.
  • Giving directions regarding initiating legal recourse in delinquent loans to the offices.
  • Taking decisions regarding the course of action to be followed in stressed high value loans pertaining to Promoter/ Builder loans, Corporate loans and high value individual loans.
  • Formulating and implementation of legal policies for recovery.
  • Formulating various agreements etc. for external agencies appointed by us for recovery related work.
  • Presenting cases for approval/ resolution before various committees internally and those pertaining to the Board.
  • Liaison with law enforcement agencies, advocates, ARCs, enforcement agencies etc.
  • Any other activity required to be performed during the normal course of their duty.
