Position Overview

The Commercial Leasing Agent is responsible for driving leasing activity across the company’s commercial real estate portfolio. This role focuses on generating leads, conducting property tours, negotiating lease terms, and securing new tenants to maximize occupancy and revenue. The Commercial Leasing Agent works closely with property management and asset management teams to ensure seamless tenant onboarding and long-term tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate new leasing opportunities through networking, broker outreach, and marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct property tours and effectively present available spaces to prospective tenants.
  • Negotiate lease terms and prepare offers, letters of intent, and lease documentation in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with tenants, brokers, and industry contacts to drive referrals and repeat business.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and rental rates to remain competitive in the marketplace.
  • Maintain accurate records of leasing activity within CRM systems and prepare regular activity reports.
  • Collaborate with property management to ensure smooth tenant transitions, including move-ins and lease renewals.
  • Assist in implementing marketing strategies to promote available commercial spaces.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in commercial leasing, sales, or commercial real estate.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lease structures and negotiation practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed leasing and occupancy targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, leasing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple prospects and transactions simultaneously.
  • Bilingual Proficiency (English & French) a requirement
