LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Billing & Accounts Receivable Manager for a 12-month contract with its remote-based customer.
Work Location
This is a fully remote position. (Halifax or Ottawa are preferred)
Key Tasks
- Lead day-to-day Billing and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring business continuity throughout the contract term
- Execute knowledge transfer from the retiring Billing and AR Manager
- Assess current team structure, roles, and responsibilities; recommend and support organizational redesign
- Master and optimize AlayaCare billing functionalities; establish standardized processes for billable event capture
- Design a future-state Billing and AR team structure aligned with Oracle Fusion capabilities, automation, and controls
- Develop role descriptions, RACI models, process flows, and a phased transition roadmap to Oracle Fusion
- Oversee invoice generation, billing cycle management, adjustments, corrections, and dispute resolution
- Manage cash application, unapplied cash resolution, aging monitoring, collections activities, and AR exception handling
- Implement automated EDI payments and credit card payment acceptance through the client website
- Establish and monitor KPIs for billing accuracy, aging, collections call volumes, and escalation reporting
- Coordinate with Finance, IT, Operations, and scheduling teams to resolve upstream errors and process gaps
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end AR close activities
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in Billing and Accounts Receivable operations within large or complex organizations, with strong leadership responsibility in AR and billing functions.
- Proven expertise across end-to-end AR processes including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Credit Management, and AR Reporting & Analytics.
- Demonstrated experience leading operational transformation and team redesign initiatives, with exposure to billing systems and large-scale system transitions (ideally AlayaCare, Procura, or Oracle environments).
Qualifications
- AlayaCare experience highly desirable; Procura experience considered a strong asset
- Experience in healthcare, home care, or community health billing environments
- Prior experience supporting or leading pre-Oracle Fusion implementation optimization initiatives
- Ability to map Oracle Fusion workflows, approvals, and security roles
- Experience leveraging Oracle Fusion automation to reduce manual processing and improve billing accuracy and collections effectiveness
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret AR metrics, aging trends, and KPIs
- Proficiency in documentation including role descriptions, RACI models, process flows, and transition roadmaps
- Experience in shared services, centers of excellence, or geographically distributed teams
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, PMP, or Oracle Cloud certifications are an asset
- Proven experience designing and optimizing AR/Billing operating models aligned to Oracle Fusion or comparable ERP platforms
- Hands-on experience supporting BAU AR and Billing operations while managing transformation or organizational change initiatives
- Strong understanding of end-to-end AR processes, controls, segregation of duties, and compliance considerations
- Experience with knowledge transfer and change management during organizational transitions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Finance, IT, Operations, and leadership stakeholders
Compensation
