Healthcare Project Manager

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Project Manager for a 3-month contract with its Ottawa/Toronto-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 2 days per week on-site at the customer's office in Ottawa or Toronto (downtown office).

Please note that 2 days on-site per week is a non-negotiable requirement.

Key Tasks

• Prepare and develop project scope, timelines, and budget commitments including project charters, key milestones, and deliverables
• Work with the Project Management Office to develop project schedules and milestones for complex projects
• Prepare agendas, chair project meetings, and communicate project deliverables and risks to all participants
• Manage and track all budgeting and resourcing activities; escalate emerging risks to senior leadership and project owners
• Lead the management of each project including task assignment, status updates, and stakeholder communications
• Facilitate the onboarding of key subject matter experts to support project execution
• Collaborate with project and program owners to capture and document efficiencies to optimize project execution
• Assist leadership and the PMO with new product and service initiatives by providing expert input on process development
• Support the team's migration and adoption of the Birdview project management platform
• Collect and compile project feedback, learnings, and areas of improvement to inform future best practices
• Ensure project team sites are maintained with centralized visibility on performance metrics
• Prepare and validate reports on project KPIs required by funders, management, and project teams

Key Qualifications

• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing in Canada
• Minimum 5–8+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading Business/Operational projects within the Healthcare Services sector (this is not an IT Project Management role)
• Demonstrated experience managing projects with tight timelines and multiple collaborators (not IT/system-focused projects)

Qualifications

• Expertise in developing and maintaining project schedules
• Significant experience with MS Project (MS Project Server) or other project management software tools
• Project management experience in a research or healthcare environment
• Familiarity with Birdview or similar project management platforms
• Minimum undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Project Management
• Understanding of the Canadian healthcare sector or a pan-Canadian health organization
• Fluency in French (asset)

Compensation
