Senior Accountant (Consolidation)

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Accountant (Consolidations) for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
The successful candidate will be required to work 4x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Gatineau, QC
Key Tasks
- Coordinate and execute the monthly consolidation and close process for Partners.
- Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for financial statement disclosures and management reporting.
- Correspond regularly with portfolio companies and corporate departments to drive close activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
- Review quarterly accounting reports from portfolio companies for consistency and accuracy, providing feedback as needed.
- Maintain SOX-compliant internal control documentation and assist with external audit requests.
- Identify process improvements and execute ad-hoc analyses and special projects.
Top Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Canadian or U.S. firms preferred).
- Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with consolidations and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Qualifications
- CPA designation (Canada or U.S.)
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience; OneStream or Cognos Controller considered an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Experience supporting month/quarter close, intercompany reconciliations, and audits.
- Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, and ability to proactively identify issues and implement process improvements.
Salary Range: $70,000-90,000
