Senior Accountant (Consolidation)

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Accountant (Consolidations) for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work 4x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Gatineau, QC

Key Tasks

• Coordinate and execute the monthly consolidation and close process for Partners.
• Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for financial statement disclosures and management reporting.
• Correspond regularly with portfolio companies and corporate departments to drive close activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Review quarterly accounting reports from portfolio companies for consistency and accuracy, providing feedback as needed.
• Maintain SOX-compliant internal control documentation and assist with external audit requests.
• Identify process improvements and execute ad-hoc analyses and special projects.

Top Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Canadian or U.S. firms preferred).
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with consolidations and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (Canada or U.S.)
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience; OneStream or Cognos Controller considered an asset.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Experience supporting month/quarter close, intercompany reconciliations, and audits.
• Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, and ability to proactively identify issues and implement process improvements.

Salary Range: $70,000-90,000
