This is an opportunity to build and mature a world-class supply chain organization within a complex manufacturing environment where planning accuracy, supplier partnerships, and operational execution are essential to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and material flow functions through a unified operating model.
  • Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to align demand, supply, capacity, and business priorities.

  • Ensure material availability and continuity of supply across all stages of production.
  • Balance production requirements against capacity constraints while maintaining customer commitments.

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, supplier performance management, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Build strategic supplier partnerships and establish sourcing strategies that improve resilience and long-term capacity availability.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier development and dual-source strategies where appropriate.

Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics

  • Establish inventory strategies that balance customer service, working capital, and obsolescence risk.
  • Oversee warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and logistics operations.
  • Optimize material flow throughout the organization to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Drive inventory accuracy and improve inventory performance metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Commercial teams, and Manufacturing leadership.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by ensuring supply chain readiness and successful transition into production.
  • Facilitate alignment between customer demand, manufacturing schedules, and supplier capabilities.

Continuous Improvement & Performance Management

  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to planning accuracy, inventory performance, supplier performance, cost management, and on-time delivery.
  • Lead initiatives focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to improve overall supply chain performance.

  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing supply chain, procurement, planning, or logistics teams.
  • Experience supporting complex manufacturing operations with multi-level bills of materials and long-lead-time components.
  • Strong background in production planning, inventory management, procurement, supplier management, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated success implementing scalable supply chain processes and driving operational improvements.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced planning tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence decision-making across multiple business functions.

Preferred Experience

  • Semiconductor, electronics, precision manufacturing, medical device, aerospace, advanced technology, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and transitioning products into scaled production.
  • Experience operating in growth-oriented organizations undergoing operational transformation or production expansion.

Why This Opportunity?

This role offers the chance to build and shape the future state of a growing manufacturing organization. The Director will have significant influence over supply chain strategy, operational performance, supplier partnerships, and organizational capability as the business continues its transition toward larger-scale production.
