Job Description

Broad highlights of the assignments the selected candidate would be expected to undertake upon associating with LatestLaws.com:

  • Analysis of the judgments and orders of the Supreme Court, various High Courts, and the Tribunals on matters.
  • Preparing specialized head notes of various judicial decisions strictly based on the style and format developed by LatestLaws.com.
  • Keeping a constant watch on the changes in the policy, laws, and amendments of laws and for instance, changes and latest legal developments, issue of notifications/ Circulars/ rules/ regulations.
  • Contribution to the website by writing well-researched articles/ columns/ papers on relevant legal and other contemporary issues from time to time.
  • Legal reporting of the news and current affairs highlighting the legal complexities of the issues and their ramifications.
  • Regular interaction with senior officials of the Colleges, Universities, Law Schools, Companies, Law Students, Advocates, Members of Tribunals, and other judicial authorities.
  • Constant reviewing/ monitoring of the content uploaded on the website and keeping them updated from time to time.
  • Assist in organizing events, moot court competitions, webinars, and seminars.
  • Constant management and interaction with Team, Interns, and Campus Ambassadors

Skills Required

  • Candidates must be willing to associate with LatestLaws.com on a full-time basis.
  • Candidates with prior exposure to editorial assignments will be given preference.
  • Candidates must be law graduates/post-graduates from recognized institutions.
  • The position would primarily involve editorial assignments therefore, the candidates are expected to possess reasonable comprehending and drafting skills.
  • Candidates must possess skills to understand the complexities in the orders of Tribunals and judgments of Courts, and thereafter capture their essence in a concise and lucid language.
  • Candidates must reflect interest to work in a wide gamut of laws.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English, both spoken as well as written
  • Keep track of various compliances and due dates.
  • Training and managing team members
  • Responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content to achieve our business goals
  • Day-to-day operations of the content for the online platform
  • Identify and share pegs with marketing team to promote
  • One should perform well under deadlines and be detail-oriented
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point & Internet skills
  • Able to work under minimal supervision
