Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

This role requires proficiency with Quickbooks Online (QBO) and excellent customer service skills to maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors. The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by accurately processing transactions and supporting overall bookkeeping functions.

This position is fully-remote but must be legally entitled to work in Canada and currently reside in the country.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process accounts receivable transactions using accounting QuickBooks Online
• Perform data entry related to customer payments, invoices, and account adjustments with high accuracy
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Follow up on overdue & incorrect accounts through negotiation and effective communication with clients
• Assist in account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues requiring resolution
• Prepare detailed reports on accounts receivable status for management review
• Maintain organized records of all transactions, correspondence, and account documentation
• Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email, addressing inquiries related to billing and payments
• Collaborate with the accounting team on accounts payable and general bookkeeping tasks as needed

Experience

• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
• Fluent in English and Mandarin to communicate with clients in China
• Strong background in bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes
• Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and perform account analysis effectively
• Strong negotiation skills for collections and resolving billing issues
• Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle client inquiries professionally
• Basic knowledge of accounts payable processes is a plus
• Familiarity with system or process conversion is an asset
• Strong math skills necessary for accurate calculations and analysis

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
