Server/Bartender

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender/Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. Previous experience with POS systems, along with restaurant or food industry background, is highly valued. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a memorable experience for our patrons while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience
• Use POS systems for order entry, billing, and cash handling
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Manage cash transactions accurately and handle cashiering responsibilities
• Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels
• Assist in serving food when required and support overall restaurant operations
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of the food industry standards
• Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and cashiering
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact positively with guests

Bartender Qualifications:

• 1+ years of bartending experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be of legal drinking age
• AGLC ProServe Liquor Certificate
• AGLC ReelFacts Certificate
• Ability to multitask
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Must be able to stand for 8-hour shifts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
