Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Managing Director & Head Of Security And Defense Public Sector Banking to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Reston, VA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $250,000 – $500,000 annually

Responsibilities

Lead revenue generation for U.S. Department of Defense and other security agencies
Develop and execute a franchise strategy to drive profitable growth
Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities
Drive thought leadership and engage in policy development
Represent Citi at global security and defense events
Cultivate trusted advisor relationships with senior clients
Ensure ethical practices across all business dealings

Qualifications

10+ years in financial services, particularly in security and defense sectors
Extensive people management experience
Strong experience in corporate finance and credit
In-depth knowledge of various banking products
Demonstrated understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
Proven leadership skills and strategic thinking capability
Bachelor's degree; preferred MBA or equivalent from a top institution
