Account Executive Job Description – Construction Company

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Executive to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial activities of our construction company. The role involves handling project-based accounting, vendor payments, customer invoicing, account reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience in construction accounting and a strong understanding of financial processes related to construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for construction projects and company operations.
• Prepare and process client invoices, progress billing, and payment certificates.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Verify and process subcontractor and supplier invoices.
• Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and customer accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Track project revenue, retention amounts, and contract variations.
• Ensure timely payment of taxes, statutory dues, and regulatory filings.
• Support payroll processing and employee reimbursement claims.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams regarding project-related financial matters.
• Maintain proper documentation of contracts, purchase orders, and financial transactions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction accounting practices, project costing, and contract billing.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations (for India-based companies).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: ₹8,550.18 - ₹15,000.00 per month
