Job Description
Job Title: Service Engineer – Solar Inverters (Off-Grid & Hybrid)
Job Summary
The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation support, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of on-grid and hybrid solar inverter systems. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, field service capability, and customer interaction skills to ensure optimal system performance and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation & Commissioning
- Support installation and commissioning of on-grid and hybrid solar inverter systems
- Ensure proper system configuration, grid synchronization, and battery integration (for hybrid systems)
- Perform site inspections and readiness checks before commissioning
2. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve inverter faults, communication issues, and system failures
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Handle issues related to MPPT, grid faults, battery systems, and monitoring platforms
3. Customer Support
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and installers
- Train customers/end-users on system operation and basic maintenance
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure timely issue resolution
4. Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor system performance via remote portals/software
- Prepare service reports, fault logs, and maintenance records
- Escalate complex technical issues to OEM/technical team when required
5. Compliance & Safety
- Follow electrical safety standards and company protocols
- Ensure installations comply with local regulations and grid requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or related field
- 1–5 years of experience in solar inverter servicing or related field
- Strong knowledge of:
- Solar PV systems and components
- On-grid and hybrid inverter operation
- Batteries (Lithium-ion, Lead-acid)
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with communication protocols (RS485, Modbus, WiFi monitoring)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and system diagrams
- Willingness to travel for site visits
Salary Details:22000-25000
