Role Overview:
As a Senior Windows System Administrator at Kresta Softech, you will play a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and other core Microsoft services. You will serve as the tier-3 escalation point for junior system administrators, ensuring timely resolution of complex technical issues. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing internal servers running on Windows, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the tier-3 escalation point for junior system administrators and help resolve complex technical issues.
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and other core Microsoft services.
- Oversee all internal servers running on Windowsensuring uptime, performance optimization, backups, and patch management.
- Implement process improvements, operational standards, and documentation for internal IT operations.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and timely resolution for internal user needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure reliability and supportability.
- Administer and maintain tools such as Freshservice for ticketing, asset management, and workflows.
- Support and troubleshoot Linux servers or components when required.
- Participate in GitLab administration including user management, permissions, and basic CI/CD troubleshooting.
- Provide after-hours or night-shift support when needed (rotational or assigned schedule).
Qualification Required:
- 58+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong expertise with Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting internal IT users in a mid- to large-scale organization.
- Proven ability to act as an escalation engineer and guide junior administrators.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer-centric communication.
- Experience creating SOPs, improving workflows, and implementing efficient processes.
- Familiarity with Freshservice or similar ITSM tools.
- Ability to work night shifts or flexible schedules as required.
