Role Overview:

Joining KPMG Delivery Network (KDN) as a Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing technical and transaction-based accounting advisory support to global KPMG teams and clients. Your responsibilities will include financial analysis, financial statement preparation, and assistance on complex transactions such as M&A, IPOs, and carve-outs. You will collaborate closely with onshore stakeholders to deliver high-quality services and support business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Summarizing and analyzing financial information, including trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
  • Drafting financial statements in compliance with various accounting standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, Ind-AS, and Local GAAP.
  • Providing transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance for mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, complex capital raising, financial structures, financial instruments, revenue recognition, and leases. You will also prepare and present whitepapers.
  • Assisting with regulatory filings, spin-offs, carveouts, IPOs, debt offerings, and other acquisition filings for domestic and cross-border transactions.
  • Offering technical and transaction-based accounting advisory support and research to international KPMG teams and clients, including implementation assistance with new accounting standards.
  • Establishing strong professional relationships with onshore team members through regular meetings and calls.
  • Providing GAAP conversion services and support for proposals/business development.

Qualifications Required:

  • CA/CPA/ACCA certification.
  • 1-3 years of post-qualification experience working on IFRS, US GAAP, Ind-AS either as an auditor or as an accountant/advisor.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, Ind-AS, US GAAP, or any local GAAP framework with the ability to research technical topics efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different engagement types, working hours, work environments, and locations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
