Position Overview

Kootenay Columbia College is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our Tourism and Hospitality Management Program. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging instruction, supporting student learning, and contributing to program success.

Class Schedule

• Evening classes
• Monday to Thursday
• 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Part-time position

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of industry or teaching experience
• Post-secondary/adult teaching certifications or experience will be an asset
• Relevant certifications in the field are an advantage

• Strong knowledge of Tourism and Hospitality Management practices
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and support student learning
• Professional attitude with a commitment to quality education
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and respond to diverse student needs
• Comfortable using technology to enhance teaching and learning

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in accordance with college policies and program standards
• Facilitate a respectful and engaging learning environment
• Assess and evaluate student performance and progress
• Provide feedback and academic support to students
• Track and report student progress on a regular basis
• Collaborate with program coordinators and academic leadership
• Support curriculum delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
• Guide and mentor students throughout their learning journey

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
